"Design is a process. Through a series of discovery questions, I help clients find their sense of style and meet their needs they may not have thought about. I want their space to be an extension of themselves. I take into consideration the different elements of design, color theory, and space planning to create a vibrant space that does not feel flat. I am a firm believer in the quote by Donald A. Norman:"
"Good design is actually a lot harder to notice than poor design in part because good designs fit our needs so well that the design is invisible, serving us without drawing attention to itself. Bad design, on the other hand, screams out its inadequacies, making itself very noticeable."
Shell has always had a creative spirit and drew floor plans on leftover drafting papers as a child. As she grew older, she honed those skills and studied urban planning which shifted into interior design. Shell has been at HOM Furniture since 2017. In her professional career, she finds joy in designing spaces a client has dreamed about but didn't know how to achieve. She believes everyone should have a space that reflects their personality while also being functional and comfortable. In her free time, she loves to knit, draw, and hike the shores of Door County, Wisconsin.
