3-Year In-Home Furniture Protection Plan
The Patio - HOM Guard Plus program provides you with HOM Furniture’s exclusive in-home service plan for a full three years from date of delivery. In addition to extending the manufacturer’s warranty, your furniture is protected from accidental damage.
How the Furniture Protection Plan Works
If your patio furniture becomes stained or damaged, as covered by Patio - HOM Guard Plus, or if it is subject to construction failure or manufacturer’s defect during the 3-year warranty period, HOM will either advise, service or restore the covered item. If HOM is unable to restore product to its prior condition, and found to have a manufactures defect (as defined by the manufacturer) HOM will replace the covered item at no charge to you. The "You Can't Lose" Policy
We are so confident that our Patio - HOM Guard Plus program is right for you that, if you do not require service within the 3-year life of the program, we will send you a HOM coupon in the amount of the full purchase price you paid to use on future purchases of furniture, mattresses, and area rugs. You can’t lose.

- If a spill occurs, first blot and absorb with a clean cloth or sponge.
- Call HOM Furniture Customer Care (763) 767-3675 or (800) 341-1322 within 72 hours of the occurrence (stains, rips, tears, etc.)

What's Required of Me?
- Maintain a proper and adequate environment for your outdoor furniture that meets manufacturer standards.
- Wipe down your patio furniture weekly for general cleaning and to remove surface soil. This also prevents dirt from becoming embedded joints.
- Don’t allow pets on your new outdoor furniture. Even the best trained pet can accidentally scratch or stain your furniture. Soiling or damage caused by pets (other than bodily fluids) are excluded from the HOM Guard warranty.
- Fading is natural in outdoor fabric upholstery furniture. However, avoid placing your furniture in sun light over long periods of time, because fading will occur faster over time.
Coverage terms
Repair or replacement of the covered item during the coverage period will be at HOM Furniture's discretion. Repairs are made whenever possible, including the replacements of parts. If suitable repairs or replacement of parts are not possible, a matching replacing item will be provided. If the replacement item is not available, then HOM Furniture will provide a credit in the amount of the affected items original purchase price.
Coverage is limited to service within 100 miles of a HOM Furniture Showroom.
Service outside of this coverage area may not be possible, and if available, customer will be responsible for all shipping/delivery fees or “out of normal” service area charges.
If a service/repairs exceed the original selling price of the item, or if we replace a damage item or provide a credit because a proper replacement item is not available: it will be deemed that HOM furniture shall have satisfied all obligations owed under this plan.
Covers ONLY accidental stains or damage from normal residential use. There is no coverage for the commercial use of Patio furniture. All coverage is for a single incident, not accumulated stains or damage from multiple events.
This Plan coverage is non-transferable and is only for the use of the original purchaser.
Specific damage coverage
- Stains from food, beverages to the fabric, vinyl upholstered areas including umbrellas.
- Rips, cuts, punctures, burns to fabric or vinyl upholstered areas from a single incident.
- Accidental breakage of glass components on outdoor tables.
- Breakage of Metal frames and mechanisms, plus structural defects such as warping, cracking and separation of materials. This specifically excludes wood frames.
- Breakage of Umbrellas or Umbrella mechanism will be covered if defective, does not cover misuse.
- Accidental pet or animal damage - covers damage caused by claws, beaks, jaws.
- Accidental stains from ballpoint pens, crayons, lipstick less than 6 inches long. (Damage of this sort that is 6 inches in length or greater are considered to be preventable or misuse, and not covered.)
Specific coverage exclusions
- Does not cover pet bodily fluid damage which is considered preventable.
- Does not cover general soiling, defined as general buildup of dirt, dust, body oils, perspiration, or other accumulated stain that cannot be attributable to a single incident.
- Does not cover staining from leaves, trees or other normal outdoor organic sources.
- Any sort of damage to wood tables, chairs, frames, etc. other than what would be covered under the manufacturer's warranty, if any. If there is factory coverage on wood frames this extends the coverage to 3 years, where applicable.
- Any loss of silvering on glass or mirror components.
- Any type of scratches, rips cuts, gouges or scuff marks that do not clearly penetrate thru the upholstery. In other words - there is no coverage for minor surface damage.
- Loss of foam resiliency.
- Pilling, fraying, and loosening of threads, seam slippage or separation on upholstery.
- Bursting, cracking of frames or tubing caused by exposure to moisture and freezing.
- Fabric or leather dye lot variations, wood finish variations, as a result of use and exposure to the outdoors i.e. Sun fading, etc. Also does not cover any of the above when replacing parts as it is to be expected that replacement items will not look exactly the same as items that have been exposed for some time to the elements/sun.
- Does not cover oxidation or other "weathering" of metal, wood, or painted surfaces. Items are expected to age with exposure to the elements/sun.
- Damage caused by unauthorized cleaning products, unauthorized repair methods or damage from power washing.
- Liquid ring marks of any sort.
- Damage from any sort of caustic solutions such as, but not limited to, acids, corrosives, nail polish, nail polish remover, cosmetics, hair spray, mousse, hair gel or other like substance.
- Damage or loss of any sort from theft, vandalism, war, foreign enemies, terrorist acts, civil commotion, fire, smoke, insect or animal infestation.
- Damage from improper assembly, corrosion, misuse, neglect or mishandling and abuse.
- Damage due to external faults such as wiring, electrical connection, or plumbing.
- Failure caused by improper voltage converter and/or applying improper voltage to furniture item.
- Improper modifications made to furniture item or non-authorized repairs.
- Loss or injury to a person or loss or damage to property or any incidental, contingent, special or indirect loss and consequential damages including, but not limited to losses incurred by any delay in rendering service under this plan and/or loss of use during the time that your furniture items is waiting materials, parts or repair.
- Weather or storm related damage, including but not limited to: hail, wind, tornado's, etc.
- Damage such as denting or surface scratches due to moving or storing of the furniture or from wind tipping over furniture items and causing surface or other frame damage.
This agreement is not renewable, or transferable. In the event an item is replaced under the terms of the protection plan, the warranty coverage is deemed to be fulfilled and no additional coverage for the covered item is available. New coverage for the replacement item would need to be purchased and shall be available at HOM Furniture’s discretion. HOM Furniture reserves the right to withdraw service for any covered item in the event of neglect or multiple service issues by issuing a refund of the amount paid for coverage on that item. This agreement does not supersede the manufacturer’s warranty. The owner shall reasonably cooperate with HOM Guard in its efforts to perform its obligations under this agreement. Any provision contained herein which is found to be contrary to state or local law shall be deemed null and void; however, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
