HOM Guard for Area Rugs

3-Year In-Home Rug Protection Plan

The HOM Rug Guard program is HOM’s exclusive in-home service plan for a full 3 years from the date of receipt. Your rug is protected from accidental damage, like the beverage that spilled at the party... whoops!

If your rug becomes stained as covered by this 3 year warranty period, HOM will either advise, service, or restore the covered item. HOM World Rugs uses highly skilled technicians to service our HOM Rug Guard customers.

If HOM is unable to restore the product prior to the stain, HOM will replace the covered item at no cost to you. If your rug is no longer available, you will receive an exchange for a single rug up to the price paid for the original rug.

The "You Can't Lose" Policy

We are so confident that our Rug Guard program is right for you that, if you do not require service within the 3-year life of the program, we will send you a HOM coupon in the amount of the full purchase price you paid to use on future purchases of furniture, mattresses, and area rugs. You can’t lose.

It’s as Easy as 1-2-3

1. If a spill occurs, first blot and absorb with a clean cloth or sponge. Next, we recommend using the Capture Dry Cleaning Kit available for sale at all world rug locations. Follow the directions on the package and repeat if necessary. If the stain remains, move on to step 2.
2. Call HOM World Rugs Customer Care at (763) 767-3675 or (800) 341-1322 within 3 days of the occurrence.
3. One of our Customer Care Coordinators will help you set up an appointment.

Coverage Terms

Stain cleaning or replacement of the covered item during the coverage period will be at HOM Furniture's discretion. Stains are cleaned whenever possible. If suitable cleaning of a stain is not possible, a matching replacing item will be provided. If the replacement item is not available, then HOM Furniture will provide a credit in the amount of the affected item’s original purchase price.

Coverage is limited to service within 100 miles of a HOM Furniture Showroom

Service outside of this coverage area may not be possible, and if available, the customer will be responsible for all shipping/delivery fees or “out of normal” service area charges.

If a service exceeds the original selling price of the item, or if we replace a damaged item or provide a credit because a proper replacement item is not available: it will be deemed that HOM furniture shall have satisfied all obligations owed under this plan.

Covers ONLY accidental stains or damage from normal residential use. There is no coverage for the commercial use of area rugs. All coverage is for a single incident, not accumulated soiling or lifestyle stains or damages.

This Plan coverage is non-transferable and is only for the use of the original purchaser.

Specific Stain Coverage

Specific Coverage Exclusions

1. Does not cover odor from pet stains.
2. Does not cover general soiling, defined as general buildup of dirt, dust, body oils, perspiration, or other accumulated stain that cannot be attributable to a single incident.
3. Pilling, fraying, and loosening of threads.
4. Discoloration from sun fading.
5. Damage from any sort of caustic solutions such as, but not limited to, acids, corrosives, nail polish, nail polish remover, cosmetics, hair spray, mousse, hair gel or other like substance.
6. Discoloration or damage caused by improper use of cleaning agents per manufacturer specification or from power washing. HOM recommends the capture care kit for cleaning all types of rug fibers.

Recommended Dry Cleaning Kit

Includes:

• 2.5 lb Rug Guard Capture Carpet and Rug Dry Cleaner with dispenser
• 16 fl oz Soil Release Pre-Mist
• Capture Carpet Brush that fits any threaded handle (handle not included).

Rug Guard Capture Powder

Vacuuming alone will remove surface dirt and some allergens. Rug Guard Capture is a dry cleaning powder that acts like a sponge to absorb and remove tough stains and 70% more allergens than vacuuming alone. With Rug Guard Capture, your rug will be kept cleaner, longer.

Rug Guard Capture will absorb even old, stubborn stains without leaving a sticky residue. Tiny particles act like sponges to absorb dirt, spills, and even allergens. When you use Rug Guard Capture powder, carpets are dry and cleaned without steam or shampoo. You’ll get professional results without the high cost. Capture is also great for other hard-to-clean surfaces like car interiors, pet beds, or even upholstery.

HOM World Rug Guard covers ONLY a specific incident, not accumulated or lifestyle stains or damages. This agreement is not renewable or transferable. In the event an item is replaced under the terms of the protection plan, the warranty coverage is deemed to be fulfilled and no additional coverage for the covered item is available. New coverage for the replacement item would need to be purchased and shall be available at HOM Furniture’s discretion. HOM Furniture reserves the right to withdraw service for any covered item in the event of neglect or multiple service issues by issuing a refund of the amount paid for coverage on that item. This agreement does not supersede the manufacturer’s warranty. The owner shall reasonably cooperate with HOM Guard in its efforts to perform its obligations under this agreement. Any provision contained herein which is found to be contrary to state or local law shall be deemed null and void; however, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
