Fall in Love with Color

Introduce warm, seasonal colors through new wall art and more.

The crunch of leaves underfoot, cool air sending us to reach for bulky sweaters and puffy vests, hot chocolate by a toasty fire, the feels of fall will abound outside soon but what about inside? Bring fall into your home this autumn with warm, seasonal colors!

Seasonal decor can be as big or as little as you want. While some prefer to go all out with seasonal displays in every nook and cranny, others may want to change out one a piece or two. Whatever your preference, we’ve got you covered.

Small accents

A change in season doesn’t mean you have to change everything in your home. Look around your home to spot items that can be easily changed out for a big impact. Start with an accent pillow or two. Change out an existing pillow for one in seasonal colors of reds, oranges, or golds. Or find an accent pillow specifically featuring fall messaging or pictures (such as pumpkins, apples, harvest, etc.) to accompany your existing pillows. If you’re full up on pillows, try a simple throw blanket over the back of the couch. Fall temperatures will have you reaching for more warmth and a throw blanket is an easy way to keep cozy while incorporating fall colors into your home.

Look for ways to bring fall underfoot as well. Rugs with flecks of reds, golds, and oranges incorporate the feeling of fall in an easy way and can be included all over the home- in front of the kitchen sink, on the front step, next to the bed, and more.

Fall for Tabletops

This season adorn your tabletops with fall home decor. Pickup trucks hauling the fall harvest, gnomes clothed in fall colors, and decorative pumpkins all make the season come alive inside your home and resonate the feel of fall. Even simple changes like incorporating an orange or red candle into an existing votive, changing faux flowers out of a vase for branches with fall leaves, or adding a fall colored runner to a table, can make your home feel ready for the season. If you’re not enamored with traditional fall colors or themes, look for one that fits your personal style. White and gold pumpkins carry a bougie feel, serving dishes featuring fall themes but in untraditional colors are fun yet festive, and even scarecrows covered in creams, tans, and browns can be easy to incorporate into existing home color palettes.

A gorgeous tablescape heavy on orange can work for Thanksgiving or any fall spread.

Fall Wall Art

Changes to wall art can make for a stunning transformation in any home. Wall art featuring harvests, pumpkins, autumn gnomes, apples, cornucopias, and more all bring a decidedly autumnal aura to a room. Wall pictures displaying leaves changing color, sunflowers fields, or pumpkin patches echo fall themes with an aura of subtlety.

Don’t limit yourself to wall art inside the home, either! Change out your front door wreath for one incorporating red, gold, and orange leaves. Add a fall colored wall hanging to your patio or porch. Just because the weather is getting colder doesn’t mean your outside space should be forgotten!

Have fun this season with all the fall home decorations you’d like. You might surprise yourself with how refreshing it can be to transform your home with seasonal comforts.
